GROUND RULES 2009

FLYING L RODEO SEASON

 Age Requirements  to be eligible for year end awards- (As of April 1st 2009)

 Pee Wee Events - 10 and under

 Jr Barrels - 16 and under

 Goat Undecorating - 6 and under

 Jr Breakaway - 15 and under

 JR Team Roping - 15 and Under

 Novice Events - under the age of 18 and/or won less than $250.00 anywhere during lifetime

No one is ALLOWED to assist a contestant beyond the time line or contestants will receive a No time.

 

  • A contestant can only enter 1 division of an event. (I.E.- A contestant cannot compete in both JR Team Roping and Open Roping. 

  • To be eligible to participate in the Year-End Finals and eligible for Final Award, a contestant must participate in that event at least 8 rodeos other than the Finals.
  • To be eligible for Year-End Awards, a contestant must have entered 18 of the scheduled performances.  If cancellations occur due to rainouts, it will be deducted from the amount required.
  • Points for the Finals: Total points per an event 30 Friday night-10 points Saturday night-10 points Average= 10 points.   If there is a tie on total points in a particular event, the total money won for the year in that event, will be used to determine the event winner.

  • Long-sleeve shirt and western hat are  required during the performance.  This does include PeeWee events. 

  • All contestants are asked to ride in the Grand Entry.
  • It will help everyone’s night go smoother, including yours, if you are ready to compete when your name is called. If you have to be called more than 3 times then the Judge for that performance has the option of disqualifying that particular run. 
  • Positions will be drawn in Senior Barrels, JR Barrels, Goats, and other events that deemed necessary.  If for some reason an entry is made after the draw is completed, that person will run first in Goats and last in Barrels. 
  • Will run slack in Barrel & Goat events if 15 or more in that event.  If 15 or more entries in a particular event, ½ of entries will run during show and the remaining will run slack after show. 
  • The event payoff will be in cash & we ask you pay your fees in cash. This will ensure cash payoffs. 
  • This is a “Family Atmosphere,” please conduct yourself accordingly.
  • We are glad your chose to spend you Saturday night with us, here on “Top of the Hill.”


In Accordance with Arkansas state law the Flying ’L’ Rodeo Company must require all participating equine to be accompanied by an official CURRENT record of a NEGATIVE Equine Infectious Anemia test within the last 12 months.
